People and Wildlife Ghana

We fundraise for community-based conservation in Ghana: locally-led work which protects wildlife and improves livelihoods. The wellbeing of local people and the future of species such as the White-thighed Colobus monkey and the Giant Squeaker Frog is at stake.

Ghana

This beautiful and fascinating country is one of the most stable in West Africa, and striving to meet the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Ghana's wealth of wildlife lives in habitats ranging from tropical rainforests to savannah and coastal lagoons.

Despite the progress being made, many of the country's people still face many social and economic challenges. Ghana's wildlife is also under substantial pressure.

People & Wildlife Ghana's vision

Our vision is that natural wildlife-rich habitats in Ghana flourish whilst directly contributing to improved community livelihoods.

People and Wildlife Ghana was formed in 2019 to support community-based wildlife conservation, offering donors the chance to contribute directly. We respect our Ghanaian partners and share the impact of their work.
